02.10.2010 Integration Manager
Roles and Responsibilities for an Integration Manager is to manage the day to day project lifecycle and ensure the success of a project (scope, fees, schedule, client). It is our responsibility to:
- Responsible for estimating, writing and developing the Statement of Work with the project team and team leads
- Working with Project Lead, assign strongest team for the work
- Build project schedule and major milestones
- Keep projects and meetings in scope
- Ensure the project team completes deliverables; help prioritize workload of project team
- The main day-to-day contact for the client; answering questions, providing necessary follow ups and general client maintenance
- Maintain communication including status reporting, risks and escalation of issues both internally and client-facing
- Prioritize, delegate and track project process
- Keep projects moving forward even if team leads are not available
- Problem solve and get projects back on track if necessary
- Responsible for overall project being delivered within fee budget that was defined in SOW, on schedule and within scope
- Identify and communicate new ideas and opportunities to internal team
Process Responsibilities:
- Identify, track and document project issues
- Quickly distribute project information to all stakeholders
- Identify and communicate project risks related to scope, fees or timeline
- QC work prior to client distribution and launch
- Manage project scope and eliminate scope creep; if project scope has been adjusted, document change in project documentation
- Work with analysts to define metrics and collect as needed to keep project progressing and optimized
- Manage project schedule to ensure milestones are met
- Run weekly reports on time and resources dedicated to clients to ensure project is on track with the fees associated in the SOW
- If the project has a problem; scope creep, risks of completion, client expectations not met – the Integration Manager is held accountable
People Responsibilities:
- Ensure project team is following standard processes and procedures
- Provide leadership skills guiding the project team
- Set clear and precise expectations for internal team and clients
- Build a cohesive and motivational team environment
- Active listening
Meeting Responsibilities(internal and client-facing):
- Set up quick 15 minute internal touch base 1 day before client meeting to gather all items for agenda and make sure to-dos are completed
- Conference room preparation, meeting notices, conference line and WebEx when needed
- Develop specific, detailed agendas
- Document meeting; including take aways, next steps and action items
- Confirm client meeting with client day before meeting
- Prior to meeting end, recap next steps and take aways
- After the meeting, update Basecamp with meeting recap notes including take aways, next steps and action items within 30 minutes of meeting end
- Update RaceTrack
Qualified Candidates should have at least 3-5 years project management experience.
